Have a Talk with God

In my youth the musical artist Stevie Wonder released a song, “Have a Talk With God”. Here was the R&B artist who wrote hit dance and love songs, My Cherie Amore, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours, Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Da-Day, For Once in my Life, and many more popular musical hits before 1975.

When this song was released by Stevie, I didn’t understand why a song about leaning God would be next , Sir Duke, I Wish and Isn’t She Lovely. However, when listening the words of the song, they touched my mind and heart then as mush as they do today. The lyrics and meaning are timeless which are shared here for you.

There are people who have let the problems of today lead them to conclude that for them life is not the way. But every problem has an answer and if yours you cannot find, you should talk it over to Him, He’ll give you peace of mind.

When you feel your life’s too hard, just go have a talk with God.

Many of us feel we walk alone without a friend, never forgetting all about the One who never ever lets you down. And you can talk to Him anytime, He’s always around.

When you feel your life’s too hard, just go have a talk with God.

Well, He’s the only free psychiatrist that’s known throughout the world, for solving the problems of all men, women, little boys and girls.

When you feel your life’s too hard, just go have a talk with God. When your load’s too much to bear, just go talk to God, he cares. I know he does. When you feel your life’s too hard, just go have a talk with God.

Right now at this moment, take a few moments and have a talk with God. Give thanks, ask for help, know you are loved, ask for healing for a loved one or friend.

Once you’ve has your talk with God, share how those few moments touched you. Your gift here will bless someone else. Plus, I promise to write you back.

See you next Sunday
